This depiction is based on a painting from 1698 by an unknown artist, located at Museum of Copenhagen, and reproduced in Politikens Danmarks Historie, vol. 8, p. 288.

Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 427, 1981 no. 341 (reproduced p. 87 in the catalogue), and auction 419, 1981 no. 246 (reproduced as frontispice in the catalogue).

Condition

Some minimal peelings and surface scratches. Two minor tears with repairs. Examined in frame.
