English unsigned brass-mounted hunting musket in flint, circa 1740. The stock has a high comb and blank, large lock, trigger guard decorated with a seashell and has a looped finish. Iron plate side plate, approx. 94.5 cm. Long barrel in calibre approx. 17.5 mm. with faint remains of proof stamps held to the stock with sliders without washers, original? iron charging rod. (1)
Condition
All iron rust marked. The fore-stock renewed in front of the forward ramrod pipe.
