Longines was founded in 1832 by the former banker Auguste Aggasiz together with partners Henri Raiguel and Florian Morel in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. In 1866, the company built a factory in the south of Saint-Imier, in an area known as Les Longines, from which the company name derives. Longines is particularly known for having developed different types of watches for aviation, having equipped Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932 and Charles Lindbergh, who flew directly between New York and Paris in 1927, breaking all previous records.
Minor wear due to age and use. The watch works, but we do not guarantee for the functionality.
