A reddish marble paper weight, carved with princely crowned monogram FF for Grand Duke Frederick Francis IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin with date Rostock 19.7.1901, text in gold. Germany, early 20th century. W. 9.5 cm. L. 15.5 cm.

Grand Duke Frederick Francis IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1882–1945) was married in 1904 with Princess Alexandra of Hannover and Cumblerland (1882–1963). They became parents to among others Princess Anastasia of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1923–1973), who in 1943 married Prince Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. They became parents of the below mentioned sisters.

The cultural heritage after the sisters, Her Highness Princess Elisabeth of Ysenburg and Büdingen, née Princess of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1945–2024), Her Highness Princess Irene of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (b. 1946), Her Highness Princess Margaretha of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (b. 1948), and Her Highness Princess Sibylla Ursula of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (b. 1955).
