A Gandhara schist stone relief fragment carved with scenes from the life of Siddharta: To the right “The Rununciation”, Siddharta seated on a couch where Yasodhara (wife) is sleeping surrounded by attendants. To the left “The Great Departure”, Siddharta on his horse Kanthaka supported by a yaksha. The scenes are divided by pilasters carved front and on end sides with seated Buddhas. 3rd-4th century AD. L. 46 cm. H. 17 cm. D. 5 cm.
