A Danish Baroque silver peg tankard, the hinged cover set with a Swedish Salvatordaler coin, encircled by a six-pointed star and foliage in low-relief on a matt ground, engraved with owner's initials and date CPS AOD 1757, the thumb-piece in the shape of a crowned lion on ball, scroll handle, the body set with three German Vildmandsdaler coins, chased with flowers and foliage above three cast lion on ball supports, the reverse set with Westerfriesland coin. The reverse engraved with weight = 64 1/2 Lod. Maker Jørgen Nielsen Brosbøll, Vejle 1757. Weight 926 g. H. incl. thumb-piece 19 cm.
