A View of the Bocca Tigris, the Southern end of the Pearl River leading up to Canton, with eight Western ships in the foreground and three Chinese trading junks. Oil on canvas. 33×57 cm. In later hardwood frame 52×74 cm.

The canvas is relined. Several larger repairs / patches on the reverse. Larger peelings. Retouches. Numerous crackles. Hole in the canvas.
