The Desert War refers to the part of World War II that was fought in North Africa between September 1940 and May 1943 with Allied forces on one side and the Axis Powers (German and Italian forces) on the other. The fighting ended with the surrender of the Axis Powers in Tunisia on May 13, 1943.
This is an original black-and-white silver gelatin photograph from 1942. Front with damage to the upper part of the photograph. In addition, surface cracks, a few pen marks, and general signs of handling. Slightly yellowed.
