A pair of German boxed percussion pistol by I. Hartung mounted in German silver c 1840. The butts are chequered and cut for stocks. The slightly engraved locks are laid flush to the wood, held by a single screw and marked HARTING IN GRAUDENZ. The damascene barrels are c 22 cm long in calibre c 16 mm rifled with seven deep grooves and marked BLUMENDAMAST. In the wooden box lined with red velvet a ramrod, hammer, powder-horn, bullet screw, nipple screw and bullet mould.

I. Hartung is not in Stöckel. Graudenz is today in Poland.

Condition

The pistol is missing their loose stocks and the case in not original to the pistols.
