A Russian “New Testament Trinity” icon depicting the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit seated in heaven, in a ring around them are cherubim and seraphim, and in the outer points are the symbols of the four evangelists, above a gathering of archangels. Tempera on wood panel, slightly “kovcheg”. Russia, c. 1900. 90×69 cm.
