Duke Wilhelm of Glücksburg was married to Princess Louise of Hesse-Kassel. Their son, King Christian IX of Denmark was married to Princess Louise of Hesse-Kassel (1817–1898). The King's brother, Duke Friedrich of Glücksburg, was married to Princess Adelheid of Schaumburg-Lippe (1821–1899)
