A shepherd with his flock on the grave yard, Constantinople. Signed with monogram and dated 73. Oil on canvas laid on cardboard. 26×41 cm.

Inscribed on the reverse: “Painted by Harald Jerichau - Constantinople 1879. Given to .... Ehrenhoff from [?] Arthur E. Wallenberg”.

It is presumably Selim E. d'Ehrenhoff (1822–1890), Swedish-Norwegian Consul General in Tanger.

Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 1939, 2019 no. 152.

A few minimal retouches.
