Peder Severin Krøyer painted many portraits throughout his career, including a significant number in profile. His fondness for profile portraits is notably exemplified by the portrait frieze he decorated Brøndum's dining room with in 1892. Artists who visited Brøndum's Hotel over the years contributed their portraits of each other to Degn Brøndum in memory of their stay in Skagen and at Brøndum's Hotel. Krøyer played a major role in this collection by contributing a substantial number of these portraits.
Mounted on cardboard. The paper has turned slightly yellow. A few minimal discolourations in the left side. Printers creases in corners.
