A pair of German iron mounted fully stocked flintlock pistols c 1780 cut for stocks with barrels marked Vicenso Cominazo. The butts are chequered and the butt caps are in the Kuchenreuter style, the recess for the loose stocks are covered with an iron plate, which is unusual, the locks are unsigned and the side plates are in plate. The c 29.5 cm long three stage partly fluted smooth bored barrels are marked Vicenso Cominazo above the powder chamber. The fore stocks are chequered which is unusual, but may be because the left hand needs something to hold on to when the loose stock is mounted.
