An original b/w still photograph of the English singer and musician Joe Cocker on stage at the Woodstock Festival on Sunday August 17, 1969. Back dated October 12, 1970. Photo size 24×18 cm. Frame size 42×32 cm.
Joe Cocker's version of The Beatles' “With a Little Help from my Friends” - which had reached the top of both European and American hit lists in 1968 - could also be heard at Woodstock in the late summer of 1969 and it was this song more than anything else which gave Cocker a lasting status as a star. Many years later Cocker's interpretation became the theme song of the American tv-series “The Wonder Years”.
Normal signs of handling. Back has yellowed due to age/storage conditions. Back also with crossed out note and remains of a paper sheet.
