Descriptions of exotic birds illustr. with 51 (of 62) hand-coloured copperplates numbered in plate. 11 plates are missing, not complete. Bound in later half calf with worn corners, edges and spine. Some foxing mostly on text pages. A few end leaves partly loose from spine.
According to Gosch (567, III), the work was issued in 18 parts in two series of 8 and 10 parts respectively, each of which contained eight plates. Nissen IVB 971; Anker # 519.
