A Russian white damask tablecloths, comprising twelve Imperial Russian napkins composed as a tablecloth with lace, as well as eight matching napkins, all woven with Tsar Nicholas II of Russia's mitre crowned Cyrillic monogram, the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle and the Russian crown regalia. Various dating, e.g. 1909/1910 and 1910/1011. Tablecloth c. 380×252 cm. Napkins c. 80×70 cm. (9).

Provenance: Museum Director at the Museum of National History on Frederiksborg, Otto Andrup (1883–1953), who according to his family presumably acquired the napkins at the estate auction of Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russian in 1929. The twelve napking were composed as a tablecloth in the 1930s. Thence Otto Andrup's grandchild until today.

Condition

Minimal wear due to age. Few spots.
