A large French Empire style gilt bronze and red marble table lamp mounted for electricity, campana form with egg-and-dart rim, the upper body applied with a band of vine leaves above a frieze of classically draped dancing maidens, the outscrolled handles issuing from a band of acanthus leaves, on a fluted socle, the square plinth mounted with lyres and ribbon-tied wreaths, on a stepped plinth. Late 19th century. H. 90 cm.
