Edvard Kindt-Larsen (b. Frederiksberg 1901, d. Gentofte 1982)

A pair of unique elm easy chairs. Carved armrests, back with vertical slats. Loose cushions in seat and back upholstered with red, striped wool, fitted with buttons. Designed and made approx. 1933–1940 by cabinetmaker Gustav Bertelsen. (2)

Designed and made specifically for Tove & Edvard Kindt-Larsen's summer house “Kufferthuset” (The Suitcase House) in Hornbæk, which was built 1933.

Provenance: Tove & Edvard Kindt-Larsen, hence descended to present owner in 1982. “Kufferthuset” has ever only had these two owners.
