Ivan Saltykov (, Moscow 1896-1908)

A Russian silver-gilt and shaded cloisonné enamel punch set, comprising a large kovsh for punch bowl and six smaller matching kovshi for punch glasses, of traditional form with raised prows and hook handles, gadrooned bodies, decorated with scrolling shaded stylized flowers on stippled grounds, all within cable and turquoise beaded borders. Ivan Saltykov, assayer Ivan Sergeievich Lebedkin in Moscow 1896–1908, 84 standard, French import marks. Weight in total c. 776 g. Large kovsh: H. 11 cm. L. 24 cm. Smaller kovshi: H. 3.7 cm. L. 8.5 cm. (7).
