An English Rococo sterling silver-gilt candlestick in archaic style, leaf-like drip-pan with profiled nozzle in a lobed bowl, stem in the form of Harlequin, circular base chased with rocailles and shell ornamentation. Maker William Moody, London 1760. Nozzles' top diameter is 2.3 cm. Weight 156 g. H. 13.5 cm.

Provenance: From the collection of supreme court litigator Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen (1911–1998).

Condition

Minimal wear due to age, including few marks and scratches. Worn gilding.
