Kaare Klint (b. Frederiksberg 1888, d. Copenhagen 1954)

“The Red Chair”. Very early, rare chair with Cuban mahogany frame. Seat and back upholstered with patinated, original Niger leather, fitted with leather covered nails. Model 3758. Designed 1927. Made and marked by Rud. Rasmussens Fabrik for Egetræsmøbler, 1927–30.

Condition

Normal patina due to age and use, including scratches, marks and minor notches/chips on frame. Some woodfiller. Leather original patinated with stains, dirt and surface crackles. Leather worn off at some nails.
