A Russian porcelain fruit basket, interior decorated in colours with flower bouquets on white ground, exterior with cross ribbons in beige and pink. Impressed mark E II for Tsaritsa (E)Catherine II the Great (1762–1796). The Imperial Porcelain Factory. Diam. 24 cm. H. 9 cm.
The present porcelain was for daily use for the Russian Imperial family. The service was produced from 1750 and to the late 19th century.
Provenance: Acquired by Richard and Erica Zeiner-Henriksen 1922–1927 in St. Petersburg.
