May verge calendar pocket watch in silver pair cases, presumably made in Switzerland or the Netherlands for the English market, white dial with Roman numerals and outer 5-minutes Arabic numerals and date aperture, gilt movement signed J. May London, serial no. 3456. Inner case hallmarked London 1783, maker JC and serial no. 3456. Outer case chased with scenery. 18th century. Weight in total 101 g. Case diam. 39/48 mm.

Condition

The watch works, but we do not guarantee for the functionality. Dial slightly faded. Pendant with repair/reattached. Later bow of metal. Inner case dented.
