An excavated blade c 1500 with a not original pommel c 1300. The double-edged blade is c 62,5 cm long with a straight square quillion c 10,5 cm long. The solid tang is mounted with a half-moon shaped pommel in cast bronze decorated with ribbon ornamentation and human faces.
The blade and pommel were bought separately at auction i Germany c 1960.
Condition
The blade corroded but cleaned.
