Carl Rudolph Kölbel (b. Berlin 1826, d. Oldenburg 1910)
A pair of plaster profile portraits, depicting Prince Adolph 1. George of Schaumburg-Lippe (1817–1893) and his wife, Princess Hermine of Schaumburg-Lippe, née Princess of Waldeck and Pyrmont, both mounted on a metal plate (possibly copper), with printed titles and names. Signed Kölbel 1851. Visible size 11 cm. Circular apertur in four-sided frames. (2)
Carl Rudolph Kölbel was a court engraver and modeller at the Grand Ducal Court of Oldenburg.
Prince Adolph 1. George of Schaumburg-Lippe (1817–1893) was the brother of Princess Adelheid of Schaumburg-Lippe (1821–1899), who in 1841 married Duke Friedrich of Glücksburg (1814–1885). This couple became the parents of Duke Friedrich Ferdinand of Glücksburg and Prince Albert of Glücksburg. The latter became the grandfather of the sisters mentioned below.
