Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann (b. Warsaw 1819, d. Copenhagen 1881)

A work by the artist entitled “Magdalene” was exhibited at Charlottenborg 1862 no. 307, that one owned by Count C. A. Lerche, Lerchenborg.

Provenance: Master of the Royal Hunt, Baron Preben Vilhelm Bille Brahe (1852–1924) and his wife Baroness Anna Sophie Elisabeth Bille Brahe neé Brun (1855–1930). In their time the painting was located at Svanholm Manor. Thence by descent.
