William Anders: An original NASA colour offset photograph of the Earth seen from Apollo 8 on December 24, 1968. Photo size 28×35 cm. Frame size 33×43 cm.

Apollo 8 was the second manned mission within the Apollo Program and the astronauts Frank Borman (b. 1928), James Lovell (b. 1928) and William Anders (b. 1937) became the first human beings in lunar orbit. It was also the first manned launching of a Saturn V rocket.

Condition

This is an original NASA colour offset photograph from 1969, which has a small crease in the left side (see photo). Furthermore the sheet has slightly yellowed due to ageing/storage conditions.
