A Pre-Columbian jar of red-fired clay with remains of red paint, seated figure with long legs, arms and tail, face with marked eyes, nose and mouth. El Salvador c. 1000 A.D. H. 12 cm. Further, a Costa Rica ceremonial tripod jar of fired clay on high legs with seated monkeys and their tails reaching the legs. 1000–1500 A.D. H. 18 cm. (2)
Provenance: Director Dan Sadolin (1914–2000). Lived in Peru 1951–1954 to promote printing ink in the Latin American market.
