The title of the painting comes from the artist himself, according to the “ billedbogen”, archive no. 9c.5, Per Kirkeby's archive at ARos Kunstmuseum, Aarhus, 2014. It is not clear whether or not Per Kirkeby has interpreted this title as the painting's title, as a reference to a study or as an association after its creation.
