A broad-leaved dock (skræppeplante) in the forest floor. Signed Dahl and dated D. 5 Junÿ 1830. Oil on cardboard. 31×35 cm.
Not only does I. C. Dahl master the great dramatic sceneries with violent waterfalls and dramatic volcanic eruptions; but also a quiet down to earth dock plant.
