Diorama with a model of the four-masted steel barque “Pitlochry” surrounded by two minor boats. Early 20th century. H. 71. W. 103. W. 16 cm.

“Pitlochry” was launched at the shipyard of A. Stephen & Sons, Dundee 1894, for F. Laeisz, Hamburg. Assigned the German identification signal RKCM. The first Captain was P. Opitz. The ship sank in the English Channel 1913, the crew was saved.

Condition

Sings of age and few minor defects. Crack to waves.
