Today the Danish poet Dan Turèll (1946–1999) is regarded as one of the most important modern writers and performers of the 20th century Danish cultural life. In the enclosed letter to IM he says in awe:
"Gentofte, december 1966.
Det er svært, og det er første gang, dette sker. Jeg vil derfor foretrække i al korthed at sige som motivering for denne forsendelse: I beundring og taknemlighed.
Med venlig hilsen Deres Dan Turèll".
