A Russian late Empire silver samovar, gilt interior and top, gadrooned lid with ivory finial surrounded by a robe rim, gadrooned handles and body chased with foliage, spout and switch formed as foliage with fable fish and ivory finial, on four legs with animal paws on a concave four-sided base with four ball-and-claw supports. Carl Gustav Savary, assayer Mikhail Mikhailovich Karpinski 1834, St. Petersburg town mark, 84 standard. Weight c. 2,917 gr. H. 39 cm. W. 34 cm.
Provenance: Acquired by Erica Zeiner-Henriksen 1922–1927 in St. Petersburg.
