Folio. 34.5×24 cm. [24] + 1–354 + (1)-226 + (1)-158 + (1). Complete with half title, portrait of King Chr. IV and 3 title leaves engraved by Simon de Pas. Richly illustrated with woodcuts in the text. Damp-staining to lower parts preliminary and last leaves. Some leaves affected by damp-staining to centre's lower part. Half title's text (mounted on new paper). Title with marginal repair to upper part. Portrait and title reinforced. Bound in 18th century full calf over wooden boards, with gilt decorations and 2 clasps, all edges gilt.
A beautiful copy of king Christian IV's bible - the last of the three folio size bibles printed in Denmark and Norway.
