Sven Ellekær

A pair of easy chairs and matching square coffee table of Brazilian rosewood with reversible top, underside with centre of mahogany. Seat and back upholstered with original black leather. Made 1965 by cabinetmaker Gustav Bertelsen. Table: H. 33 cm. L./W. 64,5 cm. (3)

These examples are the very set presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1965.

Condition

Wear due to age and use, including scratches and marks. Leather with stains, dirt and defects in seat. Top of one leg with through going crack.

Items that are made of Brazilian rosewood or contain parts of it, require a CITES export permit in order to be exported from Denmark to a country outside The European Union. Buyers residing outside the European Union are required to obtain this permit.
