A version of the portrait bust in the Vatican 'Augustus in a young age', Cararra marble. The first half of the 19th century. H. 57 cm. W. 30 cm. D. 34 cm.

Provenance: Given as a gift/honorary by Brewer Carl Jacobsen to the seller's great-great-grandfather, Conference Board and Head of the Overtrustee Theodor Ernst Petersen (b. 1826- d. 1908), who in 1883 was chairman of the board of 'Kongens Bryghus'.

The bust was examined by Thorvaldsens Museum on 27 February 2004, a statement from the then director is included.
