Lise Svanholm, A Catalogue Raisonné of the Works of Laurits Tuxen no. 687 to 689 registers similar beach scenes with almost the same dimensions, dated 7/7, 14/7 and 30/7 1906. Tuxen must have had some busy days on the beach in the beautiful July weather, where four other scenes from the same location where painted.
