“The shipowner's present to the Godmother” - a diamond bracelet set with numerous brilliant-cut diamonds weighing a total of app. 1.82 ct., mounted in 14k white gold, engraved “Margrethe Mærsk 14–10-74”. L. 18 cm.
Provenance: Present from shipowner Mærsk McKinney-Møller to Anna-Lise Bergmann, when she as godmother 24 October 1974 named the containership M/S “Margrethe Mærsk”, Nakskov newbuilding no. 205.
Accompanied by case and valuation from goldsmith Duus, copy of letters, guest list and program. Furthermore three photographs from the ceremony, depicting respectively “Margrethe Mærsk”, Anna-Lise Bergmann and her husband, Finn Bergmann, and shipowner Kai Christensen and his wife.
Estimated insurance value DKK 85,000,- from 2018.
