Japanese Kutani tea and mocha service of porcelain, richly decorated in colours and gold with a palace surrounded by fields of ornamentation. Marked. Also a porcelain toothpick holder, decorated in colours and gold with figures, with a landscape inside. In four transport boxes of black-painted wood and red silk lining. Meiji/Taisho. C. 1900. (4)

Comprising: 12 demicasse cups with saucers, 8 tea cups with saucers and 22 plates (diam. 21 cm.

Condition

Several plates with wear to gilded decor, a few plates with wear to centre. One with tiny bash mark to the rim, four plates with chips to rims. Three demitasse saucers with chips. Three demitasse cups with cracks, one with a chip on the edge. One teacup with a repair and crack, one with a nick to the foot ting. One saucer with a nick.

Transport boxes with wear and cracks in the wood.
