Magnus L. Stephensen (b. Holte 1903, d. Helsingør 1984)

A pair of armchairs and matching pair of side chairs with frames of European pearwood. Seat and back upholstered with patinated brown leather. These examples made approx. 1935 by cabinetmaker Axel Søllner. (4)

Rare set of chairs. All frames stable. Some scratches and marks. Seats are loosely in frames. Upholstered seat with scratches and marks as well as some crackles. One sidechair has on the reverse of the back rips, presumably from cat. Second sidechair was V-shaped repaired (glued) crack on reverse of back, approx. 5 cm.
