Frits Schlegel (b. Frederiksberg 1896, d. Ordrup 1965)

Vilhelm Lauritzen (b. Slagelse 1894, d. Gentofte 1984)

Nickel plated and white lacquered floor lamp. Adjustable height. Designed 1928. This example manufactured approx. 1930s by Fritzsche's Glashandel. H. approx. 120–140 cm.

Provenance: Finn Juhl for use in the house house on Kratvænget in the 1940s next to the “Poet” sofa (Lot. 903/910). Thence by descent in the family of the current owner who received the lamp as a gift from Finn Juhl.

As can be seen in photos from the 1940s, Finn Juhl had two “Poet” sofas with two floor lamps placed by the fireplace in the house on Kratvænget. This lamp is one of these two and has up until recently been used with the poet's sofa exactly like it was Finn Juhl's original idea.
