A large English silver plated venison dish and matched cover, of oval shape, the dish with a hot water jacket, the rim engraved with two deer crests, two cast handles, raised on four supports. Maker Elkington & Co., year mark T= 1858. Matched domed cover engraved with cartouche with Greek head and motto LE BON TEMPS VIENDRA (The good time will come). Apparently unmarked. Dish 65×46.5 cm. Dome 51.5×29 cm. (2)
