A Danish gilt silver sailing boat, raised on a black painted rectangular base, both sides decorated with anchors and shields, the one with inscription: “Dansk Forening for Lystsejlads”, date and year at the ends, each corner decorated with a bronze dolphin. Maker A. Dragsted, Copenhagen. Late 19th century. H. 65. L. 54. W. 28 cm.

Dansk Forening for Lystsejlads, senere Kongelig Dansk Yachtklub, afholdte d. 22. oktober 1885 en festmiddag i anledning af dens æresformand, Hs. Kgl. Højhed Prins Valdemars bryllup i foreningens ny klubhus, den første Langelinie Pavillonen tegnet af Vilhelm Dahlerup.

Condition

Part of moulding list and one ring handle missing. Defective piece of list enclosed. Rigging with loose parts. Broken chain. Wear due to age and use.
