A rare Danish commemorative sabre for the battle of Copenhagen 1801 in its scabbard. The hilt is of stirrup type with a lions head on the pommel, the single edged blade i c 79 cm long marked p C M on the spine for the engraver Christian von Mutterspracht from Frederiksværk. One side of the blade etched with DEN 2 APRIL 1801 and KONGEN LØNNER FOLKET SKIØNNER, the other side with C7 and FV - all surrounded by leaf's and laurels. Black leather scabbard with three brass mounts.
The blade spotted with weak etching.
