Ivan Borisovich Korneev (b. Taganrog 1952)
A Russian gilt-bronze sculpture depicting af minotaur, on a black granite base. Signed I. Korneev (in Cyrillic). H. incl. base 60.5 cm.
I. B. Korneev studied at the Academi of Arts in St. Petersburg 1965–1971 and graduated in 1978 from the Faculty of Sculpture. Today he is professor and dean of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Repin Institute, and he has created monuments in among other places St. Petersburg.
Provenance: Acquired about 20–30 years ago i Poland by present Danish owner.
