“Games table for a lady”. Mahogany set consisting of a table and matching set of four chairs. Square table with triangular fold-out leaves. Chairs with diagonal frame, back with stretchers. Seat with woven cane. Made 1940–1950s by Rud. Rasmussen Cabinetmakers, with maker's paper label. H. 67. cm. W./L. 61/87 cm. (5)

Model presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1946. A contemporary critic then described it in this way: “...Professor Kaare Klint`s Interior with Card Tables for A Lady, Perfect in terms of craftmanship, notice the tabletop which consists of three layers of solid wood that have been glued together with the grains running at right angles to each other....”

Overall good original condition with normal patina. Few gaping joints, scratches, marks and notches. Table with stains, especially when closed. Seats with few minor defects on cane, and with very slight nuance difference. Chairs slightly faded on bottom of legs from washing of floors, backs somewhat matte. Two chairs with minor cracks by joints on backrest, one backrest with small repairs. One hinge somewhat loose/dislocated. All pieces marked with label.
