Peter Lautrop was a Danish illustrator originally trained as a carpenter in 1965. He was an uncompromising and socially critial illustrator, and especially printed for the newspaper Dagbladet Information from 1967. He delivered coarse, baroque, and approachable comments in richly ink-filled and edgy figurations. He exhibited as a member of Grønningen from 1978, and made book illustrations and drawings to the magazines Politisk Revy and Hætsjj.
