Megillat Esther (scroll of Esther). Handwritten manuscript in Hebrew. Central Europe [presumably Germany]. 18th century to early 19th century. Written in square Hebrew in dark brown ink. 10 text columns of 27 lines per column (except one), on 3 membranes. Illustrations in colour throughout depicting the Esther-drama. No artist's signature. Worn endings with a few holes, marks of tape and browning. Some illustrations faded. Verso with wear and soiling due to age and use. C. 18×130 cm.
