Elisabeth Brodersen was the eldest daughter of Henny and J. F. Brodersen, who belonged to the circle around the Skagen painters around 1900. Henny Brodersen took care of P. S. Krøyer before he died and appears in several of his paintings. “Tiger” was Carl Locher's dog. It is sitting next to its master in a large portrait of Carl Locher, painted by Michael Ancher in 1909.
